Children In The Labor Code And The Restrictions Imposed on Construction Sites

Fair Labor Standards Act ( "FLSA") regulates the employment of children under the age of 18 years in certain types of employment. Children between the ages of 14 and 15, and apply some of the regulations. For children from 16 to 18, and the application of other regulations, and for more than 18 children, most of which do not apply. In general, children between the ages of 15 and under can not be employed in a number of occupations, including construction. 29 § § 570.33 Federal, 570,119.

Children between the ages of 16 and May 17 the construction work in the relevant processes, but may not be participating in some "very dangerous" occupations at a construction site. These professions include:

Driver;
Operation of power-driven woodworking equipment;
Operation of power-driven lifting system;
The operation of circular saws, bandsaws, and guillotine shears;
Or the demolition and destruction of
Drilling operations.
